How To Carry Out Outlook Repair Installation

Outlook is an email client application developed by Microsoft. This email client program offers a wide range of features to its users. Even though the program is loaded with features, you might sometimes find these features unusable when the program becomes corrupt. During the event of an Outlook corruption, it is advisable to repair install the program. If the repair installation does not work, you may try to fix the issue by reinstalling it. Now, in this post, we will take you through the repair installation procedure of the program.

Repair installation

According to OmniTech Support forums, whenever you encounter an issue with Outlook, go through the basic steps to fix it. However, major issues like Outlook corruption will not be fixed with the basic troubleshooting steps. In this condition, you will have to try the repair installation to fix the issue. Before you do a reinstallation of the program, make sure that you do the repair installation. Keep in mind that majority of the Outlook issues are fixed by a repair installation. The major advantage of doing a repair installation is that your Outlook data will not be removed from the program. This means, you will still be able to find the email data after the repair installation.

In order to carry out Outlook repair installation, find the file scanpst.exe. This file is designed to scan the PST file of the program. The PST file is responsible for storing data in the program. Therefore, locate the file, scanpst.exe and double-click to run it. The repair tool will ask you to choose the PST file. Navigate to the location of the PST file and select it to run the scan. Once the scan finishes, the tool repairs the errors found with the file.

The above method of repair installation works only when the PST file of the program is corrupted. In other cases, you will have to use the Outlook installation disc to carry out the repair activities. For this, close the Outlook program and all other Office applications. Go to the Control Panel window of your operating system and open the Add or Remove Programs window. Choose Microsoft Office from the list of programs and click the option Change or Repair.

The above steps will help you to carry out the repair installation of Outlook program. For further assistance on this issue, you may go through OmniTech Support forums or contact the technical support team.

How Omni Tech Support Desk Helped Me Fix Recurring Issues With My Laptop

In terms of convenience, laptops are better than desktops. However, when it comes to the expense of repair issues, desktops cost relatively cheaper than laptops. While you could simply replace certain desktop parts such as the keyboard, the mouse, the hard disk, the RAM etc on your own, to do the same with a laptop, you need to hire a technician and he could charge you a handsome amount as the service charge.

When I bought a laptop last year from one of the reputed brands, I least expected any problems on it. However, when it completed one year, it started showing frequent issues and each time when I took it to the computer repair centre, I was asked to pay a big amount for the diagnosis of the issue and for the repair. Needless to say, I was fed up paying a large amount in that way.

Thankfully, I came to know about Omni Tech support desk recently through my friend. Quite excited about their relatively affordable services, I searched about them online for more information. But, I was startled to find a large number of OmniTech support scams. Talking to a customer support representative of the company, I was informed that the scams were cooked up by hackers to redirect customers.

Exciting PC support offers from Omni Tech Support Desk

What got me more attracted to Omni Tech Support was the range of support they offer. Reading some of the Omni Tech Support reviews from experienced customers, I could easily make out that the OmniTech support scams were pretty baseless. After getting convinced about the PC support offered by Omni Tech Support desk, I decided to give them a try for the sake of testing it. I purchased a onetime support scheme and let the experts at Omni Tech Support desk repair the issue. The issue I had with the laptop was frequent shutting down and restarting. It wouldn’t allow me to work.

After a few minutes of examination on my laptop, the OmniTech experts found out that my OS was corrupted and they helped me reinstall the OS. I could get the issue fixed within an hour.

An experienced customer that I am, I am ready to endorse Omni Tech Support to all my friends and colleagues. If you are bothered by frequent issues in your laptop or desktop, contact Omni Tech Support desk and get the issues fixed in real time.

Windows 8.1 - A Free Upgrade For Windows 8

Microsoft had announced that the Public Preview of the upcoming Windows 8 update would be available for download by June. They had also revealed that their forthcoming update for Windows 8, called as Windows Blue, will be officially released as the Windows 8.1 update and will be free for the current users of Windows 8 operating system. Microsoft CFO Tami Reller, while speaking at the telecom conference in Boston, revealed that the Public Preview of Windows 8.1 would be made available for download from the Windows Store.

Details of the Windows 8.1 update have been filtering through for the previous months. Some of the earlier details pointed that Windows Blue is bringing incremental updates to the Windows OS as opposed to the old service packs for the Windows OS that could contain only a large set of updates and upgrades. The bad news for those users who do not like the new Metro User Interface of the Windows 8 operating system is that the Windows 8.1 update will not remove it, but may rather tweak it further. Leaks also suggest that the users will now be given more size options for the Live Tiles on the Start Screen and that the update will also bring with it Internet Explorer 11.

Other features that show up in the Windows 8.1 update are refreshed Fresh Paint app and a better and improved voice search with Bing. Amish Goyal, who is the Director of Windows at Microsoft India, said with the Windows Blue update, Microsoft was focusing on the comfort of traditional computer users and support for lower resolution displays. The former suggests that Microsoft could be looking at alleviating the concerns of the legacy Windows users who were very much unhappy about the absence of the Start button and the boot to desktop option in the Windows 8 operating system. The latter suggests that Microsoft is looking at tablets with 7 inch and more display size running Windows operating system.

All this information was obtained from the Omnitech support guides that were posted in the official Omnitech support website. Many people misinterpret Omnitech support website as Omni Tech Support scams. However, it should be noted that the Omni Tech Support scams are spread by competitor tech support firms and are not genuine.

How To Get The Best Out Of Outlook

Outlook is an email client application designed and sold by Microsoft. It enjoys a large user base thanks to all the productivity applications it supports. It is especially useful in workplaces where employees have to handle many emails as a part of their work. Outlook enables you to keep a backup copy of your emails since all the messages are stored in your disk drive. Moreover, you can send out replies or compose new emails even while offline. Moreover, there are several productivity applications, due to which the application finds different uses.

In order to make the best out of Outlook, you need to understand all the various features that Outlook supports and use them accordingly. A firm understanding of these features will enable you to cut through the routine work, thereby focusing on what is important. An authentic technical support firm such as OmniTech support will provide you with the proper assistance in understanding and using these Outlook features properly.

Moreover, there are several functions in Outlook that are underused by the typical user. Once you are proficient in this application software without relying on Outlook support, you will be able to get your work done in the quickest way possible. Omni Tech Support fraud websites would advice several different tips, but most of these advices would either make no difference or slow down the computer even further.

Here are some special tips that will get you started on using the Outlook application well.
  • There is no use of cluttering your email inbox by storing thousands of emails. The better alternative would be to archive your emails. The biggest advantage of this feature is the increase of speed in the Outlook application. Since the program does not have to load scores of emails, Outlook will load up a lot faster. To archive an email, right-click a folder and then select Properties. You will find the archive settings of email messages in the Auto Archive tab. Lesser the number of items on your default Outlook inbox messages, faster the application will load.
  • Although there are several different Outlook add-ons available, they come at a hefty price. These may slow down the application and even make it unstable at times. If possible, try avoiding the use of add-ons. In order to disable the add-ons you have, click on the Tools menu. From inside the menu, click on Options, Others and then on Advanced Options. You will be able to make the relevant changes from inside the Add-in manager.
  • Defragmenting the disk drive where your Outlook emails (in the form of a PST file) are stored will speed up your Outlook application.
If you follow these tips, you will notice that Outlook performs to its optimal level and is extremely fast. Several Omni Tech Support fraud sites would offer to provide Outlook support and advise you to download and use specific add-ons to speed up your program. This, however, will only slow down your system further.

Fixing Outlook 2007 Not Working Issue

If you are a businessperson, you might know well how important Microsoft Outlook is for your business communication needs. Outlook is by far the most heavily used email clients in the software universe. The major reason for such popularity can be attributed to its simple interface and design, as well as the impressive features it offers.

Apart from the usual features such as sending and receiving email, task allocation, event setting, and job scheduling, there are many more features that make this software the best for all communication, organization, and information management purposes.

The email client application is highly flexible when it comes to the customizability. In fact, it is possible to set the software the way you prefer. There are many customizable features in Outlook, which make all your works simpler. However, even the best software is not fully immune to errors, and Microsoft Outlook is no exception as well.

There can be errors, data corruption, or issues happening in the software program once in a while. Outlook not working is one of the most common errors with Outlook. It can happen that when you click on an email message for reading or replying to it, all of a sudden, your reliable Outlook email client application stops responding. Though it is annoying, the issue can be easily surpassed with simple troubleshooting steps.

How to fix Outlook not working problem

There are two possible solutions to deal with the problem. One includes repairing the email client program, where the other way around the issue requires a re-installation. Nevertheless, you can also try some other tools to deal with the situation. For instance, you can use the System Restore function in Windows OS to go back to some restore point, and undo the changes that caused the Outlook issue.

Microsoft Office 2007, one of the recent Office versions, has some inbuilt tools and gears, using which you can repair the program easily. We are talking about the Outlook repair tool here. This utility is the best, when it comes to addressing Outlook not responding issues.

For using this tool, you need to go to the Office button in Microsoft Outlook program, go to Options, and then open Resources. After that, you can run Microsoft Office Diagnostics tool for analyzing the issue. Simply click on the Diagnose button to start the scan and fix the issues in the application.

Biggest Issues With Windows 8

Microsoft Windows 8 launch was the most anticipated event for the software giant a couple of years back. However, it failed to prove any good as to what Microsoft expected.

We all know what happened. The operating system bombed big time, even compared to Windows Vista. Experts say that it is because of the plenty of Windows 8 problems, the operating system did not do well in the market. In fact, Microsoft admits that the latest OS in the Windows line did have some flaws. Let us list out some of the glaring Windows 8 problems here.

Metro-ized Start Screen and complicated interface

Microsoft tried to introduce something new in the user interface, but it was so new that it changed the familiar Windows design entirely. Therefore, most people found the operating system interface difficult to absorb. One of the most visible changes in the platform is the new ‘Metro style’ Start Screen replacing the Start Menu. Microsoft brought in a very new way of starting and managing the applications installed in Windows 8.

Microsoft genuinely feels that mobile devices and mobile applications are the future. Probably because of this, the software giant unified the design. As a result, Windows 8 looks much like its mobile counterpart Windows Phone. However, the problem here is that the new interface makes things complicated for users who have no idea why things are the way they are.

Inability entirely close applications

It is impossible to close any program in Windows 8 after use. When you open an application, it will not close until the operating system finds it necessary to suspend it. That too is done as a process to save CPU cycles. So, any such open apps continuously uses your system resources.

The company says that the whole idea of Metro and advanced applications for the new platform is that the kernel session is not closed entirely. This makes the system perform faster. Now, this looks reasonable, but when the suspended applications start consuming precious CPU resources, then it is a problem that needs to be rectified.

Even shutting down Windows 8 is an issue because of the hybrid shutdown options. For proper shut down or restart of Windows 8, you need to first Log off, and then click on the Power button and then select either Restart or Shutdown.

These were some of the glaring Windows 8 issues, which contributed in its collapse in the market. However, these are not the only ones that led Microsoft think of a new strategy.

WiFi Problems In Surface Pro 3 Tablets Fixed

Microsoft’s software and products users are often troubled with bugs and technical issues. This usually happens when somehow, their tech team fails to fix Microsoft errors in these products during the testing phase. This, obviously, leads to embarrassing situations where a brand new software product is marred by reports about these technical problems.

Reports about the WiFi errors in Surface Pro 3

This has happened many times in the past, when the tech support team releases solutions to fix Microsoft errors, as and when reported of the same. Microsoft was able to get away with such technical problems a few years ago with prompt support, as there was not much a competition to their flagship products. However, things are different today.

Take for example, the recently reported WiFi errors in Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablets. Even as thousands of Surface and Surface 2 tablets are lying unsold in the warehouses all over globe, Microsoft keeps releasing newer editions in an attempt to make some impact in the tablet computer market, which is dominated by Google and Apple. But, the reports about these WiFi errors affected the sales inversely.

As always, Microsoft tech support team quickly released an online fix for these WiFi errors in Surface Pro 3. So, if you are one of those Surface Pro 3 users, who could not connect to the local WiFi network because of a bug in the program, then go to the Microsoft tech support website, and install this patch. If you have enabled the Automatic Update option in your Surface 3 tablet though, then this fix would have been installed automatically by now.

It is good to see that Microsoft is able to release solutions to such problems within such a short time. Nonetheless, it would have been much better, if such errors did not show up in the first place. Most average users are not good at troubleshooting the technical errors or installing the Microsoft Fix It solutions on their own. In other words, whenever their tablet or smartphone is showing an error message or is not working properly, they will have to take it to a professional tech service center nearby to fix it.

So, releasing these solutions online might already be too late to these not-so-tech-savvy users. As already mentioned, such technical errors and problems will only benefit their competitors Google and Apple, who keep releasing new OS versions without any such glitches.

Removing Yahoo Toolbar From Chrome

Yahoo toolbar can sometimes be annoying. It changes your home page, sets another search engine as your default provider, and hijacks huge space on the browser screen. If you install this in your computer, it makes these changes in all the browsers it enters. So, following are the steps to remove Yahoo toolbar from Google Chrome.

Steps to follow
  • Hit the menu icon in the browser (this is at the top right of the window, shown as a wrench icon, or a stack), and choose Tools.
  • Once there, select Extensions. From here, find the Yahoo! Toolbar for Chrome entry, and hit the trash icon next to it. This will remove the toolbar from the browser.
There is still work to do after the removal of the toolbar from the Extensions page, which primarily involve reverting the changes it has made and deleting its leftovers from the system.

Changing the home page

Click on the menu button in Chrome and select Settings. Go to In Startup and hit the Set pages option. Hover the cursor on top of Yahoo.com, and then hit the x symbol against it. Add your preferred website here, or leave that blank as default.

Changing the default search engine

Yahoo toolbar changes your default search engine to Yahoo search, which remains even after you have removed the toolbar. You have to manually revert the change. For this too, you start at the menu icon. When the options pop down, hit Settings, and go to the Search section. Select Manage Search Engines..., hit the button to remove Yahoo!, and then set another domain as the preferred search provider.

Alternate method

There is another way to revert the changes brought about by the installation of Yahoo toolbar. Just reset your Chrome browser. For this, go to the menu and pick Tools. From there, go to Extensions, select Settings from the left pane, and then choose the Show advanced settings… link. Go to the bottom of the page and click the Reset browser settings button. Hit the Reset button on the windows that opens up.

These are some of the methods to remove Yahoo toolbar from your PC. When done, run a full scan on your computer, and remove any leftovers associated with Yahoo from the system. Call our support number for further assistance, and our technical expert will help you out over a live chat session.

Anti-Malware Support For Windows XP Extended Till 2015

IT professionals scrambling to find third party Windows tech support for XP have gotten a minor extension from Microsoft. The anti malware support for Windows XP is extended until July 2015 and they will continue to provide support for the anti-malware engine and signatures for the Windows XP users.

Constant support for anti-malware security applies to the Forefront Client Security, Forefront Endpoint Protection, Windows Intune and System Center Endpoint Protection, which runs on Security Essentials for consumers and Windows XP for enterprise customers. This extended malware support would be more helpful to people handling businesses and are considering a jump to Windows 8. Customers and the third party vendors can make most of this extended support since they get some time to fix things up before switching to Windows 8.

Moreover, many third party developers need time to port and develop the software for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. If business apps are not available on Windows 8 then they might have to rely on Windows XP to run their software.

The anti-malware security support would be more helpful to those people who are in the middle of migrating from Windows XP to the higher version of Windows Operating systems. This is done because Microsoft does not want the Windows XP machines becoming prone to any hazards when they migrate after the end of support for Windows XP.

Microsoft pledges to provide this service even after the support for the same has ended. In case, these users encounter any problems then that would remain in the Windows XP user’s mind and would stay as a black mark forever.

The plans to switch operating systems should continue in spite of the extended support for Windows XP. Nevertheless, the issue is that this extended support would lull people into a forged sense of security, since it does not effectively fix any of the security breaches or will have the ability to block all the attacks.

Suppose there is a request put forward that requires a patch for the operating system or Windows tech support for the same, the extended anti-malware support by Microsoft will not be enough.

Paul Parke, the vice president of the New York based company, 1E Inc., which helps organization to migrate effectively, says that there is still plenty of systems, which still runs on Windows XP. According to the estimates made, there are about 25 percent of Windows XP computers, which still need to migration assistance.

In addition to the ability to the run the Office apps, it also features the capability to run wide variety of applications at a reliable or lower price and that too on many devices. For the Office 365 Suite subscriptions, depending on the number of device licenses, the tech giant Microsoft nearly charges $69.99/year and $99.99/year for different subscriptions. In order to make the new app feel like native to the platform, the app includes numerous user interface elements. From the home screen of your Android device, you can quickly create shortcuts to each Windows or Mac apps with the help of a feature called Unique to Android.

The company is also planning to include new management and pricing options and it features the inclusion of multi-user Parallels Access accounts, which will help a company or business provide access to at least five computers for just $49.99/year. Before choosing the subscription, the user can also choose a free trial version of the app starting from July 31. Many Small And Medium Businesses And Users Still Clinging On To XP

Windows XP, developed by the world’s largest software manufacturer, has been removed from the list of supported products recently. This means that there is no use in calling Windows support number, as you will not get any official support for issues with Windows XP.

Apart from the inability to avail technical assistance on Windows support number, you will not receive any security packages for XP too. This indicates that your Windows XP system lays exposed to hackers, who may exploit the security vulnerability.

This is old news, something that happened more than three months ago, but it has hardly made any difference to some Small and Medium scale businesses. These companies are still using the 13-year-old operating system. Let us analyze some reasons why these users are still clinging on to this outdated operating system and look upon the challenges posed when running an unsupported system.

Migration issues

Many businesses are so accustomed to and familiar with Windows XP that it is difficult to change their various applications, services, and operations that depend on Windows XP for smooth functioning. Some applications may function properly only in Windows XP. Preparing new applications that run on newer operating systems can be costly and tedious, where the migration itself is a hefty task.

Software support

Agreed, some small and medium businesses rely heavily on software applications written specifically for Windows XP. That fact should not be a deterrent for switching to better and advanced systems. They need to look at the long-term benefits of upgrading to newer operating systems, rather than stubbornly living in the past. As they have to upgrade anyhow – whether they like it or not – why not do it immediately.

Windows 7 offers a Windows XP mode that runs a virtual image of XP to run legacy applications you are familiar with. Even Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 platforms provide certain facilities that allow old programs to run smoothly.

Hardware Support

Most hardware vendors do not waste time, money, and effort in developing drivers for older applications that run on an unsupported operating system. So, even from the hardware angle, it is best to move on and switch to newer systems.

Security

This is the biggest challenge Windows XP users have to face. Microsoft has abandoned Windows XP and with no support, hackers will be hovering like vultures to pounce on the dead Windows XP OS system. No matter how strong you make you system with third-party security systems; it may not suffice the task. Even many security firms have stopped providing updates that product Windows XP from new malicious codes.

So, if you are clinging on to Windows XP, better get ready to face all the challenges mentioned above. But as said, upgrading to another platform is the only way out.

Windows 8 Start Screen Version Of Firefox Abandoned By Mozilla

Windows 8/8.1 is the latest operating system series introduced by Microsoft. The new interface of these operating systems are a little confusing to the users since they have not witnessed such things before and moreover, the lack of Start button in Windows-8 also made the life of the Windows users difficult. Since the new interface appeared in October 2012, most of the Windows-8 users are still confused with the new touch friendly and metro tile user interface. Moreover, the Mozilla Cooperation, which is known for the release of Mozilla Firefox browser, has decided to discard its live tile from the Start screen of Windows 8. The reason Mozilla provided for this is that only 1000 people were using it regularly.

The point under consideration in the above paragraphs is about the Metro user interface that is seen in the Windows-8 Start screen. Jonathan Nightingale of Firefox said that the Mozilla team had to ‘pick our battles’ and says that the Metro UI is now ‘off the trains.’ However, it will be available for download for the users but there will be no further updates or patches.

He further explained, “In late 2012, Metro… looked like the next battleground for the Web. In the months since, as the team built and tested and refined the product, we’ve been watching Metro’s adoption. From what we can see, it’s pretty flat. On any given day we have, for instance, millions of people testing pre-release versions of Firefox desktop, but we’ve never seen more than 1,000 active daily users in the Metro environment.”

This decision by Mozilla to stop its live tile from the Windows-8 Start screen is yet another blow considering the fact that the tech giant is trying hard to promote its latest OS in every possible way. However, the other commonly used browsers like Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have their own Live tiles in the Start screen, which is quite a relief for Microsoft. Microsoft is not happy seeing the latter on Windows machines since it is a lighter version of the Google Chrome operating system.

Metro User interface is the official name that is given to the Windows 8 Start screen but because of a complaint from a German client, Microsoft eventually ditched it. To know more news and information regarding this, contact the Mozilla support number.

Microsoft Includes Useful Features In Outlook

Microsoft has introduced several interesting options in Outlook to ensure that users get a more convenient emailing experience. These useful features include more advanced rules, new undo options, as well as in-line reply functionality. The latest additions have been introduced keeping in mind the huge popularity of the email application among users.

Outlook is termed as one of the most preferred email programs mainly due to the advanced and convenient options the application comprises of. Adding to the amazingly user-friendly email options, Outlook also serves as an excellent personal information manager for the users. This makes it easier for most of them to store all their personal and contact data in this email program securely. Now, with such interesting features, the usage of email in Outlook is definitely going to increase.

Let us take a look into the updated features that Microsoft has added to Outlook.

Advanced Rules
  • With the new Advanced Rules, users now have more controls to keep a check on how their email in Outlook are sorted, filed, and moved within the application. Users will be able to create multi-condition, multi-action rules.
  • This feature also includes options for users to do several other functions such as checking the time constraints, tallying of emails and checking read/unread email state, etc.
Undo option
  • Next is the Undo option, which Microsoft had added to primarily simplify undo options in a range of commands. With this, the users can undo mistakes made while accidentally deleting, categorizing, flagging or marking as junk.
  • For this option, Outlook users will require clicking the Undo button, or entering Ctrl+Z.
In-Line reply option
  • Microsoft has also included in-line reply option for the Outlook users. With this option, the users can easily respond to email threads without launching a new view of the message.
According to sources, the addition of these three sets of new features for the Outlook users will continue for some time. As far as the updates are concerned, Microsoft executives said the company is beginning to update its OneDrive for Business. There’s an array of interesting features and these include options like Simple Controls, Site Folders, and smarter Search.

It can be said that Microsoft is now leaving no stone unturned to revive its customer base and thus, regain its supremacy in the tech-field. By launching such frequent updates, the company is all set to provide stiff competition to its counterparts.

Fix Outlook Not Responding Problem

Microsoft Outlook is the best email management program developed to reduce the burden of organizing emails. There are so many useful features that if you do not know much about Outlook, you are sure to be overwhelmed by the sheer variety and number of features. If you can utilize the complete caliber of the email application, then it can make things extremely convenient for you. It is also designed to perform the function of a connectivity tool for other software or hardware products. More third party tools mean more chances of instability in the Outlook program. If the third party driver/s is poorly designed then more system resources will be utilized. When this happens regularly, Outlook may not be handle it as it stability will be disturbed. This is when you see Outlook not working or Outlook not responding errors or problem. This is extremely irritating especially if you were doing something really important. If such a thing happens, you can shut down the third party software that is affecting the Outlook program. This happens probably because these third party programs may be operating simultaneously with the email client.

Microsoft Outlook provides the ability to integrate add-ins for the purpose of enhancing its performance. But, a high number of problematic add-ins may cause conflict since these programs are running simultaneously. This is one of the main reasons why the email client crashes. When Microsoft Outlook is causing such problems, the best approach would be to disable the add-in and check whether the issue persists. If it’s resolved, then obviously that particular add-in was the cause of the problem. Otherwise, you try disabling other add-in software and check if there is any difference.

Another problem that may be causing Outlook not working or Outlook not responding is when you Outlook inbox is full or loaded with lots of incoming emails. When the inbox is full, it takes more time to load Outlook. So the obvious thing to do is relocate Inbox emails to new sub-folders. This can be easily done by using the auto-archive feature provided by Microsoft Outlook.

Sometimes, the culprit can be your anti-spam or anti-virus software. Of course they have an important role to keep your data or system secure from malicious threats. Some anti-virus programs may be too strict, or may not be functioning properly. They may block attachments or add-ins, causing the Outlook not responding problem. You can make the required settings in the anti-virus or ant-spamming software to make the add-ins compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2010.

If even this does not fix the problem you can call your technician to resolve the Outlook problem.

Recovering A Lost Windows Password

There is no need to panic if you accidently forgot your Windows password! You do not have to resort to reinstalling Windows and can recover access using certain applications. You do not need to be a tech-wiz to achieve this seemingly miraculous feat. All you need is access to another computer and a blank CD or DVD.
Regardless of which operating system is running in your system, any of the Windows 8 versions or its predecessors can be easily reset using the following tutorial:

Create a Windows Security password Restoration Disk
  • Get the Reset Windows Security password self-extracting data file from any other available Windows PC. You need the ResetWindowsPwd.iso file.
  • Insert an empty CD or DVD disk in that PC.
  • Using some CD/DVD recording software like ISO2Disc, extract the ISO image file onto the disk you just inserted.
Modify the BIOS Settings
  • When you start the locked PC, you will notice the boot screen mentions a key (i.e. DELETE key, F8 key, F2 key) that will take you to the BIOS settings.
  • Press the required key and wait for the BIOS settings page to load.
  • Navigate through the BIOS settings to change your system settings to boot from CD/DVD ROM disk.
  • Insert the boot disk you just burnt and then save the BIOS settings and continue booting your system.
Recover Windows Password
  • You will notice an entirely new display screen when the system boots up. Windows Security password system window will appear on the screen instead of the usual Windows Log-in screen.
  • Follow the prompts on the screen to reset your Windows password. You can reset the password to empty, which would let you log-in without needing to enter any password.
  • Once the reset is complete, remove the password recovery disk from your CD/DVD drive, and reboot your PC.
If you have followed these steps to the word, you will be able to login to your Windows desktop without having to enter any password. Whether you are experienced or a novice user, password recovery is a piece of cake as long as you have the relevant tools.

Even personal computers running the latest Windows 8 versions can be easily be accessed using a password recovery tool. As long as you can follow the on-screen instructions, you will do just fine! If you need any assistance, contacting our technical service team is your best bet!

Microsoft To Make Windows 8 Desktop-Friendly, But Return Of Start Menu Delayed

Rumours about the return of Start Menu to Windows 8 have been spreading since soon after the release of Win 8 in October 2012. Many anticipated that the Start button would be returned with Win 8.1, an update Microsoft released a year after the release of its first Win 8 family operating system. Although Win 8.1 added some new features, including a crippled version of the Start button, it wasn’t the palatable one that many had been waiting for.

Nevertheless, rumours continued to spread, this time indicating that the Start button would be returned with the upcoming Win 8.1 Update 2, which is slated for August, 2014. But a recent report released by ZDNet.com signals that the upcoming update would not have the old favourite feature. If reports are true, Microsoft would return the Start button to Win 8, via its update in 2015.

Microsoft demonstrates Start menu in Build 2014 developer conference

What has been adding fodder for rumours about the return of Start button in the 2014 Win 8.1 Update 2 was the demonstration of Start menu in the Build 2014 developer’s conference organized by Microsoft. In the conference, the software giant revealed its plan to introduce a new Start menu and some classic features in order to shrink the distance between the modern Windows interface and the traditional Windows interface. Microsoft had been receiving bulks of flaks for the introduction of the controversial Metro UI. Sources privy to Microsoft say that the company had finalised rolling out these features in its Win 8.1 Update 2 in August 2014. But some technical issues has forced to prolong it to the next update which will probably happen in the mid of 2015.

Microsoft plans to modify Win 8.1 desktop users

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Microsoft has not forgotten its desktop legacy. It is working on multiple projects to make Win 8.1 more palatable for desktop users. In fact, Microsoft has had a tough time convincing desktop users to migrate to Windows 8 family operating systems. The modern features the operating system featured didn’t really intrigue many, especially the desktop users. The software giant has very well realized its faults and is working on plans to make the operating system more efficient for non-touch screen devices such as desktops and laptops.

It is not clear whether Microsoft would return Start button to Win 8.1 or Windows Threshold, the upcoming Windows version. Nevertheless, we can hope for a more convenient Windows operating system for desktops sooner than later.

Microsoft Releases A Fix For A New Bug In Windows XP

Microsoft has ended the support for Windows XP operating system last April. However, the software giant has provided a new fix for Windows XP users after a new bug came up in the Internet Explorer browser. This is a huge relief to the Windows XP users who were in search of a fix for this big threat.

The emergency fix comes after a security firm FireEye Inc. found that the new bug was being used by a group of hackers to initiate a campaign called Operation Clandestine Fox. The new fix was also released after Microsoft came under pressure from various corners. Various governments had already asked the customers to use a different browser until a fix was available.

Microsoft help & support for Windows XP ended in April 8, 2014. However, reports show that 15 to 20 percent of PCs are running on this operating system. This means that millions of PCs have still not been updated to any of the newer operating systems from Microsoft.

Windows XP was released in 2001 and since then it had been a favorite operating system of users around the world. It was the most widely used operating system until the release of Windows 7 in 2009. The operating system was being used in most of the business houses around the world. However, with the end of support for the operating system, it has become inevitable to upgrade this operating system.

However, many users say that they could not make an upgrade due to the high expense associated with the upgrade. In addition to the purchase of a new operating system, it may be necessary to upgrade the hardware of the machines. This is because other operating systems from Microsoft like Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 requires at least 1 GB of RAM and processors with higher speeds.

Another major worry is for banks. Most of the bank ATMs works on Windows XP operating system. According to Microsoft help & support center, as Microsoft has stopped the support for Windows XP operating system, the operating system in these machines too will not receive any updates. If hackers are able to crack into the embedded operating system in these machines, it could prove to be a major threat.

Even though users can still seek the help of third party technical support companies for minor issues with the operating system, other security issues could arise in the future, which might be beyond the scope of support.

Microsoft Had Plans To Integrate Kinect With Xbox, Says Ledbetter

According to a latest report, Microsoft had plans of integrating Kinect into Xbox. However, later the plan was dropped and Kinect was released only as an option for Xbox One users. According to the hardware designer of Xbox, Carl Ledbetter, “Microsoft had toyed with the idea of building Kinect into the Xbox One itself.” He added, “We pushed ourselves, can we put it all in one? Is that going to work? And the technology just isn’t there yet. As soon as you have something much bigger than the Kinect sensor people don’t want to put it by the TV, it’s too big.”

However, when Microsoft released Xbox without Kinect built into the device, Ledbetter did not seem to be sad. He says, “It’s all designed together, it’s holistic. And in the version that consumers can buy that doesn’t include Kinect, it still all works”. Also, “And so I think I share the same opinion that everybody does that by having more choice for the consumer, and a new point of entry for them, it’s great.”

Microsoft had released Xbox One in November, 2013, and has sold millions of devices since then. Xbox One will allow users to play games both offline and online. This means, you can simply use the device to play games from the disc or compete with your friends online. Since the device is portable, you can take the device with you to any location and start playing your favorite games from the disc.

According to Microsoft chat, Xbox Live is a place where you can find games and apps for the device. If you choose to become the gold member of Xbox Live, then you will have the privilege of accessing the features of Xbox One and its predecessor Xbox 360. Xbox One offers numerous personalization options. You can customize the settings of the device and decide how data ought to be used with the device and make use of various privacy settings for the best security.

By using Kinect, users can start interacting with their Xbox console without the help of a game controller. The most important feature of this device is that users can use spoken commands or gestures for interacting with the device. With numerous features added with Xbox One, keeping Kinect as an option will in no way disappoint customers. In addition, according to Microsoft chat support, users can add Kinect to their device as and when they wish.

How To Make Microsoft Outlook Run At Startup

The Windows operating system is used widely across the world owing to its ease of use and the user-friendly features. This operating system maintains a folder that holds the shortcuts to programs that load every time the user logs into the operating system. Some programs, including system security and instant messenger applications may place a shortcut in the folder during the process of installation. This will make sure that the program loads automatically when the operating system loads. Even though the Microsoft Outlook does not make a shortcut on its own, the user will be able to easily add the program to the list of the startup programs. After you add the program, it will open and then download the new email messages every time you start the computer.

Outlook is a part of the Office suite and it shines as an email client with good talent for organizing solid spam filters, seamless integration with to-do lists and scheduling. This is more than just a program to manage and read email messages. It operates as a personal information manager or PIM and is able to keep the users on schedule by remembering the to-do lists of the user. Microsoft Introduces Improved Message Syncing Options In Skype

Over the years, we have had many Microsoft chat applications like MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, etc. Of course, the availability of all these different versions of Microsoft instant messenger applications made things a little confusing for the average user, especially when they were trying to get tech support online.

Now, it seems that Microsoft has decided to streamline their entire Microsoft chat network. They have announced that they would slowly phase out all the other chat messenger networks, while promoting Skype messenger as the only Microsoft application.

About the Skype instant messenger application

Skype was first launched in August 2003. But in May 2011, Microsoft bough Skype Communications for 8.5 billion dollars. Since then, Microsoft has been cashing in on the popularity of the Skype instant messenger application, by releasing it as the default chat application in all its latest products, including Windows 8 OS and Xbox One console.

Microsoft has now merged its Windows Live and MSN Messenger chat networks with the Skype messenger service, making it one of the biggest chat works in the world in terms of the number of users.

About the newly improved message syncing functions in Skype

One of the complaints about the Skype application when it was initially launched was that it did not have good enough message syncing options. When Microsoft took over, they did promise to fix such problems. And, they recently released an updated version of the Skype application that comes with better message syncing options.

Now, it is easy to synchronise the messages on all your different mobile devices that has the Skype messenger installed. This means that whenever you receive a new message or start a conversation on one device, this information would be updated on all your other mobile devices as well. This option is very convenient for those users, who have multiple mobile devices and they would like to keep everything up-to-date on all of them.

Another of the functions newly updated and improved is the push notifications. Whenever you are engaged in a chat conversation, you would receive push notifications about any new messages. But, these notifications would not be synchronised on your other devices, instead would appear only on the device you are currently using. This would prevent the cluttering of unnecessary notifications.

For more information about the new functions in Skype and for downloading the new app version, visit the Microsoft Store webpage online.

Removing The Bing Toolbar

Beijing Wants Microsoft To Extend Windows XP Support

Microsoft is well known for its operating systems and other applications. One such operating system released by Microsoft over a decade ago is Windows XP. Because of its rich features and functions, it has become the most popular operating system that Microsoft has ever produced. Even today, it has a high percentage of market share and it is still employed in many schools, colleges, hospitals, businesses and institutions.

However, the things changed very quickly when the tech giant announced the date for withdrawing the Microsoft support given to this operating system. This decision of Microsoft to stop the Windows XP support put the XP systems in danger of hacking attacks and virus infections. Even the Government of China is asking the tech giant Microsoft to continue the support given to XP operating system to remove the security threats and to help the anti-piracy efforts of Beijing.

In order to put pressure on Microsoft, the deputy director of China’s National Copyright Administration Mr. Yan Xiaohong met the authorities of Microsoft and other software companies to pressure Microsoft to rethink their decision to withdraw Windows XP support. He told Microsoft that the end of support of Windows XP will bring serious security issues to Windows XP machines in PRC and it will provide an opportunity for the cyber criminals to take advantage of this situation as the support ends on April 8, 2014.

According to StatCounter, almost all the organizations and the people employ Windows XP for both their personal and business use. In the last month, Windows XP nearly constituted 50 percent of the computer market share in China. The deputy director said that the tech giant has made matters for the Chinese users even more difficult by stopping the sales of the low priced edition of Windows 7 operating system, which has a market share of 40%. This made it difficult for the Chinese users to migrate to the Windows 7 operating system.

The main intention of this decision is to promote the higher priced Windows 8 operating system among the Chinese users; however, this might result in software piracy. Nearly, US$160 million (£102m) was spent by Beijing last year for replacing the pirated software in many provincial and government offices and they are trying to wipe out the software piracy present in the public sector.

The Chinese should not expect Microsoft to extend support as the company had well in advance announced the end of Microsoft support for XP to facilitate the transfer.
