Windows 8 Start Screen Version Of Firefox Abandoned By Mozilla

Windows 8/8.1 is the latest operating system series introduced by Microsoft. The new interface of these operating systems are a little confusing to the users since they have not witnessed such things before and moreover, the lack of Start button in Windows-8 also made the life of the Windows users difficult. Since the new interface appeared in October 2012, most of the Windows-8 users are still confused with the new touch friendly and metro tile user interface. Moreover, the Mozilla Cooperation, which is known for the release of Mozilla Firefox browser, has decided to discard its live tile from the Start screen of Windows 8. The reason Mozilla provided for this is that only 1000 people were using it regularly.

The point under consideration in the above paragraphs is about the Metro user interface that is seen in the Windows-8 Start screen. Jonathan Nightingale of Firefox said that the Mozilla team had to ‘pick our battles’ and says that the Metro UI is now ‘off the trains.’ However, it will be available for download for the users but there will be no further updates or patches.

He further explained, “In late 2012, Metro… looked like the next battleground for the Web. In the months since, as the team built and tested and refined the product, we’ve been watching Metro’s adoption. From what we can see, it’s pretty flat. On any given day we have, for instance, millions of people testing pre-release versions of Firefox desktop, but we’ve never seen more than 1,000 active daily users in the Metro environment.”

This decision by Mozilla to stop its live tile from the Windows-8 Start screen is yet another blow considering the fact that the tech giant is trying hard to promote its latest OS in every possible way. However, the other commonly used browsers like Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have their own Live tiles in the Start screen, which is quite a relief for Microsoft. Microsoft is not happy seeing the latter on Windows machines since it is a lighter version of the Google Chrome operating system.

Metro User interface is the official name that is given to the Windows 8 Start screen but because of a complaint from a German client, Microsoft eventually ditched it. To know more news and information regarding this, contact the Mozilla support number.

Microsoft Outlook provides the ability to integrate add-ins for the purpose of enhancing its performance. But, a high number of problematic add-ins may cause conflict since these programs are running simultaneously. This is one of the main reasons why the email client crashes. When Microsoft Outlook is causing such problems, the best approach would be to disable the add-in and check whether the issue persists. If it’s resolved, then obviously that particular add-in was the cause of the problem. Otherwise, you try disabling other add-in software and check if there is any difference.

Another problem that may be causing Outlook not working or Outlook not responding is when you Outlook inbox is full or loaded with lots of incoming emails. When the inbox is full, it takes more time to load Outlook. So the obvious thing to do is relocate Inbox emails to new sub-folders.
